Rajasthan Royal Circuit
This circuit covers three of Rajasthan's most distinct towns — Jodhpur's blue-washed old city under Mehrangarh Fort, Udaipur's lakes and palaces, and Pushkar's desert temples and camel-fair heritage.
It's a longer route than the Golden Triangle, at 7-8 days, but the variety between stops — fort city, lake city, desert town — makes it feel like three different trips in one.

What to Know Before You Go
- Distances between towns are longer than the Golden Triangle — expect 5-6 hour drive days between stops.
- Udaipur's lakes are at their fullest and most photogenic just after monsoon season (September–October).
- Pushkar is a significant pilgrimage site — modest dress is appreciated near the temples and ghats.
- Summers (April–June) are extremely hot across Rajasthan; this route is best avoided outside October–March.
A Suggested Route
Day 1-2
Jaipur to Jodhpur
Drive to Jodhpur, with time to explore Mehrangarh Fort and the blue city below it.
Day 3-4
Jodhpur to Udaipur
A longer drive day, followed by a full day around Udaipur's lakes and City Palace.
Day 5-6
Udaipur to Pushkar
Drive to Pushkar, with time at the ghats and Brahma Temple.
Day 7-8
Pushkar to Jaipur/Delhi
The return leg, with flexibility built in for an extra stop or rest day.
Best Time to Visit
October through March, same as the rest of Rajasthan — outside this window, daytime heat makes fort and old-city walking uncomfortable. If lake views are a priority, aim for just after monsoon (September–October) when Udaipur's lakes are fullest.
